1. When will I need to get a new business license?

Business licenses need to be renewed each year. Once you obtain an initial business license, you will be mailed a renewal form at the end February and which needs to be returned by March 31st of each year.

2. What happens if I move from one location to another within the city or my business name is changed?

Please notify the city of the changes so that your business license will reflect the correct information.

3. What happens if my business moves out of Nephi or closes?

Please notify the city, in writing that your business has closed.

4. Will my business require an inspection?

A new business not previously licensed will need to complete and pass any necessary inspections prior to the issuance of a license by the appropriate department of the city or other governmental agency to ensure compliance with applicable building, fire and health and safety codes. - Existing places of business licensed within the city shall be inspected periodically by departments of the city for compliance with building, fire, health and safety codes. ** For complete information regarding business license compliance, rules and regulations please refer to the Nephi City code.
