Nephi City runs the J. Randy McKnight Nephi City Municipal Airport.  The airport was recently renamed after Randy McKnight who was the city’s administrator for 37 years.  In Nephi City, the city administrator also serves as the Airport Manager.  The municipal airport serves as a base of operations for a number of aviation-related industries.  It also is one of many rural airports in Utah.  A southern apron extension project to the taxiway was started in FY 2021 with the majority of funding coming from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  The funding for projects like the apron are budgeted in the Capital Projects Fund.
