Non-Departmental

For general service functions that don’t neatly fall into a specific department, or for services that apply to all departments, Nephi City has a Non-Departmental budget.  These costs include:

  • Wages/Benefits for a Communications Coordinator and materials
  • Costs associated with all departments such as Insurance, Auditing, and Technology

Outcomes for Fiscal Year 2024 & 2025

  • Funding for Chamber of Commerce events

This category also contains the dedicated fund transfers from general revenues to the Capital Projects Fund.  These dedicated revenues are:

  • All the Highway Tax collected each year that is set aside for road projects
  • $45,000 of Class "C" road funds are also transferred for road projects and equipment each year
  • Street improvement fees and curb & gutter engineering fees for parcels who install these improvements
  • Cemetery lot fees and capital improvement fee for cemeteries are dedicated toward cemetery projects
  • Airport lease revenue is also used for the city’s required funding portion of airport improvement projects
  • Funding assistance for Victim Advocacy Group
