In 2019 talks began between Nephi City, the Juab School District, and some local private donors about constructing a recreation facility. These discussions continued through the COVID year and the HIVE recreation facility was the result of those talks. The building contains four full-sized basketball courts which can also be converted to six volleyball courts, an indoor turf field, a track, three educational classrooms, a weight room, and a wrestling room. Other sports like golf, pickleball, spikeball, baseball, softball, and soccer can also be accommodated. This unprecedented cooperation between the public and private sectors has created a jewel in the community for many years to come.
Funding sources come from user fees, rental fees, Parks, Arts, and Recreation Tax (PAR Tax), Parks & Recreation Impact Fees and concession revenue.
